This is my new fanmade custom posable art doll, Shiranui, inspired from the game Okami.
I must say I am EXTREMELY happy with how the doll turned out. I think I have defiantly improved my sculpting skills as well as learning more about skeletal structure.
She was made entirely from scratch. Starting off as a lump of clay and a few bits of wire, she gradually transformed into the little cutie you now see before you!
I hand sculpted the head and feet from clay onto a wire frame then wrapped stuffing around the armature to bulk her out and to give her a realistic softness. The faux fur was then hand sewn on and glued down to prevent the fur from lifting. I then hand painted the clay in acrylic paints and covered it in matt varnish to protect the paint from scratches. Finally I glossed the eyes and nose to give it a wet look.
I then attached her divine instrument to her back.
